Welcome to the latest issue of EarnForex.com newsletter — January
2012.

In this issue of EarnForex.com newsletter I will remind you about the
most important Forex-related events of the last month and will also
show you the list of the site's latest updates.

Overview of the major currency pairs' performance in December*

*EUR/USD* — declined significantly in December, dropping to the
lowest level since 2010. It was at the maximum at 1.3538 on December
2, at its minimum at 1.2857 on December 29, finishing the month at
1.2957.

*GBP/USD* — traded sideways with a slight bearish bias last month.
The highest monthly rate was at 1.5773 on December 21, while the
lowest — at 1.5361 on December 29. GBP/USD finished December trading
at 1.5545.

*USD/JPY* — traded almost flat in December until the last trading
day when it went straight down. The pair rose to as high as 78.22 on
December 23, reaching a bottom at 76.85 on December 30 and closing the
month with the 76.87 rate.

*EUR/JPY* — experienced a bearish trend in December. The monthly
high was at 105.54 on December 2, the monthly low — at 99.46 on
December 30. Trading ended at 99.62 for this currency pair.

*GBP/JPY* — behaved similarly to USD/JPY. The maximum level for
this pair was at 122.76 on December 22, while the minimum — at
119.33 on December 30. The month's trading ended at 119.51 for
GBP/JPY.

Fundamental background of the past month*

News of Kim Jong-Il's death hit the markets on December 19, adding to
the
uncertainty. The main

of this news was the South Korean Won.
Attention of the market participants switched from Spain and
Greece to Hungary and Italy in December. Although Hungary isn't a
member of
eurozone, it got hit but similar problems as the euro-using
countries. In

to keep forint from falling by raising the interest rates.
